The Development Team is responsible for:
- Developing, planning and implementing Management Information Systems for schools based on school and statutory needs.
- Organise and deliver all new Welsh Assembly Government initiatives as part of the Individual Pupil Data Project.
- Evaluate and develop software and systems for School Curriculum PCs and the Education Directorate.
- Work with colleagues in designing appropriate Managed Services for Schools and the Education Directorate.
- Assist with delivering training courses and materials for Managed Service and other software.
- Advise and assist Head Teachers and managers on planning IT infrastructure for new buildings and adaptations to existing sites.
- Liaising with Directorates and external agencies when developing new LAN infrastructure.
- Assist with the strategy and planning of the Service's Development and Business plans in line with customer requests.
- Arrange procurement and/or leasing of hardware and software.
